Michael has two children at Jefferson Academy (7th and 10th grade) and they have attended since Kindergarten. In additional to serving on the Foundation at Jefferson Academy, Michael is actively involved with the Sons and Daughters of Italy (Lodge 2075) and is the founder/leader of a Colorado based special interest group with over 2,200 members. Michael graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in Geology and currently works at World Wide Technology as a Digital Product Manager, helped Fortune 500 companies meet their digital transformations needs. Michael has a combined 25 years of professional experience in Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Design and Software Development.
Teresa is an active CPA in the State of Colorado. She serves as Principal and Owner of a mid-size public accounting firm in the Denver area, ImpAcct, leading a team of 15 and over 400 clients. She has over 20 years of experience as a CPA, and has served in several professional roles in her career, ranging from public accounting at Deloitte and Touche to Fortune 500 accounting leadership with Ball Corporation, to serving as CFO for many private software companies. In those roles, she was responsible for spearheading capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, process engineering, FP&A, systems implementations, and financial reporting. Through volunteerism and partnership with many civic and non-profit organizations, she has also served on the Boards of many entities, including as an elected Town Trustee for a municipality to the Treasurer for many non-profits in her career.
Reese Evenson (she/her) has two children (JH and HS) and they have attended JA since Kindergarten. In addition to serving on the Foundation Board, Reese serves at the HS Parent-at-Large for the JA Boosters (as well as the Foundation-Boosters Liaison). Professionally, Reese is the Records Program Administrator for the City of Thornton. She obtained her MLIS from the University of Washington and is a Certified Records Manager (CRM) and a Certified Information Governance Professional (IGP). Reese is also Chair of NAGARA’s (National Association of Government Archives & Records Administrators) Government Archives and Records Administration (GARA) Certificate Program subcommittee and also serves on NAGARA’s Mentorship Program Subcommittee.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Nottingham in the UK. Matt has spent the majority of his career in the energy industry working in several locations around the world before settling in Colorado seventeen years ago. Matt has worked in numerous capacities, ranging from on-site supervision to operations management and engineering advisory roles. Most recently, Matt worked for Colorado School of Mines’ Center for Underground as Project Manager for a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) funded project looking to advance rapid tunneling technologies for the US military.
